A new category of industrial software is being named right now. The systems running the world’s warehouses see records, not reality. Staer builds the spatial intelligence that closes that gap, a live digital twin of the operation built from the everyday traffic of mobile robots and forklifts. Capture. Index. Understand. Who names this category, and whose story defines it, is still being decided. Where intelligence works, autonomy runs.
This is not a build-our-marketing-from-scratch role, because the unusual thing about this seat is that the marketing machine already exists and runs every morning. An AI agent researches accounts, drafts outreach, produces content, tracks the funnel, and reports honestly, including the zeros. What the machine lacks is its human half. Someone with send authority and qualification judgment. Someone who wires the measurement and owns the pipeline number. Someone who carries the category story in the rooms agents can’t enter, on conference stages, in press, with analysts, across a dinner table from a VP Supply Chain. You take command of the machine, expand its autonomy as it earns trust, and are accountable for what it produces.
You manage agents, not juniors. There is no team to inherit and none planned for the first stretch, and that is the point. The plan has marketing growing into a full org as the company scales, and the person who made the machine work is the one who leads it. You get there by making the system produce qualified pipeline and category memory, not by hiring around it.
The commercial motion is precision, not volume. Staer sells to enterprise buying committees over long cycles against a small universe of named accounts, so one deeply researched touch is worth more than a thousand sends, and the marketing that matters is measured in sales-qualified pipeline and brand memory, never in impressions. You hand off at SQL to a founder-led sales motion and arm it with evidence at every stage.
We are a remote-first team across Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, and Greece, built around trust, ownership, and clear communication. AI is woven into our daily work. We use tools like Claude Code to create, analyze, automate, and iterate faster. Being AI-native isn’t a bonus here. It’s part of the craft, and in this role it is literal: your leverage is the agent fleet, and your judgment is what makes it safe to give the fleet more autonomy.
You’ll work directly with founders who have built category-defining technology companies, led public software businesses, and built companies acquired by Apple and Meta. If you intend to run marketing for a category-defining company, or found one, this seat is the apprenticeship: full ownership of a working system, founder proximity, and a category still being named.
The offer is market-competitive compensation and meaningful equity in the first marketing seat, founder proximity with the numbers the founders review every Monday, an AI-native marketing system already producing research, drafts, and honest metrics daily, and a defined trajectory: the plan grows marketing into a full org as the company scales, and the person who ran the machine leads it.
If taking command of a running machine, owning a number, and telling a true story well energize you more than building slideware about doing so, this is your seat.
What the role covers
- The pipeline number: own marketing-sourced qualified pipeline end to end, from ICP targeting and signal detection through outreach, engagement, and qualification to SQL handoff.
- The machine: run the daily agent loop; review, send, and route its output; instrument the approval gates; decide what earns more autonomy and what gets killed.
- Measurement: wire the analytics stack yourself (web analytics, search, CRM attribution), define what counts, and report it plainly, zeros included.
- Category and brand: execute and evolve the brand strategy; build memory in the 95% of the market not yet buying, measured in branded search, direct traffic, and share of search, never vanity metrics.
- Events: run the attend-first events machine across the Nordic, DACH, and US calendars; pre-booked meetings decide whether we travel, and every event gets a cost-per-conversation retro.
- The public face: speaking slots, press, analyst conversations, and the content only a human can credibly deliver.
- Sales enablement: arm the founder-led sales motion with stage-appropriate evidence and assets, aligned to the published pricing ladder.
What it takes
- You have owned a pipeline number. At a Seed to Series B company you were accountable for marketing-sourced pipeline or SQLs, you can state the number, and you can say which channels produced it. Campaign and content volume without a number does not clear this bar.
- You build with AI, demonstrably. You have built or operated agentic workflows, with prompts, evaluation, and autonomy decisions, not just used AI tools. We will ask you to show this live in the interview, unprepared. Show, not tell.
- Enterprise ABM instincts: you have run, or can credibly reason about, demand generation against a small named-account universe with six-figure deals, long cycles, and buying committees.
- Narrative craft: you can tell a crisp category story to a skeptical operations executive and hold a conference stage without a founder beside you.
- Hands-on with measurement: you wire analytics yourself and treat attribution as your job, not a request to someone else.
- Builder’s comfort with ambiguity: strategy and execution in the same day, structure from zero, no playbook.
- Not required: people-management track record, big budgets, agency relationships, or US market experience.
- EU-based with fluent English; Swedish or German is a plus. Regular travel to events and customer sites.
